In today’s world, what isn’t a vision! Who hasn’t been a visionary today? The term vision is a fashionable term in management, a cliché – an empty phrase best avoided. Managers have to have the ability to think about and to considered future developments, as well as looking “outside the box” of today’s business. What the term vision suggests is often harmful, as no differentiation is made between good and bad visions. In the best case a vision is that what system oriented management considers to be a business mission. The worst case scenario is that vision is a synonym for day dreams and castles in the sky.
